Minecraft Coding Lab Summer Camp 2020
Minecraft is a famous sandbox game, and one of the best educational tools for kids in learning coding and designing. Our Minecraft Coding Lab Program helps students to learn the fundamentals of programming inside the Minecraft World and to develop the problem-solving skills needed to use coding in the real world.

Learn Coding With Minecraft
During our summer camp, students will explore Java coding through Microsoft Makecode and Minecraft. Students can run the code in Minecraft and program the agent to do everything! Some things that can be done in Minecraft include making a calculator and creating games. Students will be able to choose their final project: Minecraft building design or Minecraft built-in game.
Throughout this program, students will-
1. Learn to code with Java
2. Accomplish 6 In-class game projects
3. Design your own Minecraft game
4. Become skilled in Minecraft architecture
Learning Java coding with Minecraft is a fun way to learn a basic programming language. As a widely used language, Java can be applied to many devices and platforms such as mobile, smartcard and computers. Also, people can use it to develop a mobile APP, websites and to program a GUI-based platform.
Covers a wide variety of aspects, spanning from the initial storyline conception to the actual graphic design and programming of the game, to the public release and advertising of the game.
Java is a widely used programming language designed specifically for web applications. It‘s a powerful tool for software developers that is easy to learn and use.
Full-stack engineers work on both the front-end and the back-end portions of an application and have the best understanding of the product's overall design.
Meet Our Instructors

“Ivy Seed was more than just a camp – it was the beginning of a student’s career.”
A Typical Day Includes
5 Hrs 15 Mins
Students will learn programming skills from instructors, and then be able to explore and practice these new tech skills on their own and in collaboration with their peers.
Activities & Socializing
Students will participate in indoor and outdoor STEM activities. These activities enable students to make new friends and experience campus life at top universities.
Each student will have time to focus on his/her personal projects and work one-on-one with the instructor to gain the most out of the program.
Doing STEM activities is a fun and interactive way for students to get to know their peers and instructors while also learning important computer science concepts. They will play games which are based on the ideas of binary numbers, computer logic, and image representation, just to name a few.
